Tolerating Ambiguity

All too common slices of feedback from senior leaders about team members:

  • “He needs constant reinforcement.”

  • “She’s continually wanting feedback from me.”

  • “He continually checks to make sure an action he’s taking is ‘ok’ with me.”

All you who read these posts, please keep this one close by. There is no more critical personality quality for you to show your boss than a high tolerance for ambiguity. You are going to be a burden on him or her if you need clarity or reassurance in order for you to function
